Hawaii- Kona and Maui 2022 (Hawaii Volcanoes NP and Haleakala NP)
I am excited this year to finally be going to Hawaii with a couple of girlfriends. We will start in Kona, where we will see Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and follow to Maui, for Haleakala National Park. If you are planning a trip to Hawaii, get places to stay EARLY, VRBO, hotels, air bnb are in high demand and the reasonably priced ones go quickly.
I recently discovered an alternative to rental cars called “Turo”. It’s basically like air bnb for cars and can save you tons of money in an expensive location where you need to rent a car. Download the app and tell your friends! https://turo.com/
Flights between Islands were only $49, so if you’re going to make the investment to go across the ocean once, you may as well try to see more then 1 island! More tips to come on this after we go!! Book your sunrise visit to Haleakala early! We plan to do a bike tour down the mountain. We’ve also heard night snorkeling with manta rays is a bucket list item that can’t be missed!
New River Gorge, West Virginia, 2022
America’s newest national park, New River Gorge is on the list for the year! I found a very reasonable place on VRBO that sleeps 8 and has a hot tub for under $250 per night! I am planning to go with a group of girlfriends from my hometown in Southern Ohio. It will be like a little high school reunion, how fun!!
You’ll be surprised what people are interested in doing if you just ask them! Rafting is something that is on a lot of people’s bucket lists but maybe they don’t know who to go with! More to come on details here as we book our rafting trips.
I have tasted twice in Colorado and find that you may be surprised how fun it is. I was terrified both times I went but it proved to be the thrill of a lifetime. Don’t be shy to try Class 3 or Class 4 as a beginner, as long as you’re in fairly decent shape with no injuries!
Sleeping Bear Dunes, Michigan 2022
A favorite “non official” national park among my customers, people rave about this place time and time again. Michigan in summer is next to none, so I look forward to seeing what the hype is all about!
What better place to meet family in the summer other then by the water? It’s paradise for kids to play, and brings peace and calm to the hectic lives of adults. When I proposed this for a family weekend, no one seemed upset! I am excited to see what beauty this lake has to offer us!
Follow along as I will iodate favorite hidden gems, hikes, eateries, and places to stay! Also I will always provide you with tips on how to save money while you travel!
